Both Ends of the Spectrum – UKSAF 40th Anniversary Meeting
Note this event will take place over two days in celebration of 40 years of UKSAF (10th July (9.30 am – 4.30 pm) and 11th July (9.30 am – 3 pm))
In 1979, both the UK ESCA users group and the SIMS user forum held their first meetings. With many interests in common they later merged to form the UK Surface Analysis forum (UKSAF) which holds meetings every six months. We celebrate our 40th anniversary with a special themed meeting, where speakers will look ahead to new developments and review old knowledge. The meeting will be hosted by the NMRC at the University of Nottingham on 10th and 11th of July.
Registration is in Engineering a Science Learning Centre (ESLC) from 9.30 am, talks are in X2 lecture theatre in Chemistry building. There are regular buses and trams from city centre to the nearby Queens Medical Centre and University Park bus stops. Maps can be found on the Current Meeting page, under ‘Travel and Venue’
The meeting will also host a conference dinner, which will take place at Wollaton Hall on the evening of 10th July. If you wish to attend this meal, please ensure that you also book a ticket at the cost of £45 per person during registration. Please note there is a a deadline of 24th June for registering for the dinner.
